Is the Moon a planet?

Is the moon a planet? Well technically according to the ECSST the moon would be considered a planet and so would the sun. Sounds weird, right? Well here at ECSST HQ we like to refer to the "planets" orbiting Earth, satellites. So you could say that the "moon", "sun" and "planets" are actually all moons according to the ECSST.
